4 Epic Career Modes You Can Run In The Upcoming EA FC 24

With the upcoming release of EA Sports FC 24, we have four epic Career Mode journeys for you to hit the ground running once it releases. The aim of these will be to reach the prestigious Champions League final. But it’s not just about the destination, it’s about the thrilling ride. From quick ascents to long-term, we’ve got it all.

    Manchester United

Our first journey begins with a club that’s no stranger to glory, Manchester United.

First up, we’re heading to the heart of England to the iconic Old Trafford, The Theater of Dreams. This is the home of Manchester United. This is a club steeped in rich history and tradition and a club that has seen the highs of unparalleled success and the lows of struggle.

The past decade has been a roller coaster ride for the Red Devils. But now, with 10 hag at the helm, there’s a glimmer of hope.

The goal for this journey is to reach the Champions League final within two years. A lofty ambition, but with the right guidance, it’s within reach.

But this journey isn’t about quick fixes or easy routes. This journey is about authenticity and staying true to the core values that have defined Manchester United over the years.

It’s about rebuilding a legacy about restoring the glory days of this illustrious club. So, here are your guidelines and your rules of engagement.

Stay within the rules of Financial Fair Play. This is a game of strategy, not extravagance. We’re sticking to the budget, making smart strategic signings that add value to the team without spending lots of FC 24 Coins.

    Remember every penny counts.

United has been struggling with its owners and for now, this is still a problem. This isn’t a fantasy. It’s a challenge.

We’re not looking for billionaire takeovers or instant fixes. This is about building a team, nurturing talent, and creating a squad that can stand the test of time.

Manchester United has a proud history of developing young talent. Think of the class of 92 players, like Beckham and Giggs, who came through the ranks and left an indelible mark on the club’s history.

Your challenge is to continue this tradition to bring through at least one player from the academy to the first team each season.

In their glory days, United was all about youth and energy. We’re sticking to that ethos, no signing players over the age of 30.

This is about building for the future and creating a team that can sustain success over the long term. This journey is about more than just winning. It’s about rebuilding a legacy. It’s about taking a club that has been through a decade of struggle and leading them back to the top. It won’t be easy. But then again, the best things in life rarely are.

    Borussia Dortmund

Next, we’re heading to Germany to the buzzing Signal Iduna Park, the home of Borussia Dortmund.

This is a club that’s no stranger to success but has often found itself in the shadow of the mighty Bayern München. Last season they came agonizingly close to the league title, only to lose it on the final day.

The goal for this journey is to step out of Bayern’s shadow to win the league and to reach the Champions League final in three to four years. This is a daunting task. But with the right strategy, it’s achievable.

But this journey isn’t about shortcuts or easy wins. It’s about building a team that can consistently compete at the highest level and a team that can finally bring the league title back to Dortmund and make a mark in Europe.

Dortmund is known for its smart Financial Management. We’re sticking to the budget, making shrewd signings that add value to the team without overspending every Euro count.

Again, this isn’t a fantasy. It’s a challenge. We’re not looking for billionaire takeovers or instant fixes. This is about building a team, nurturing talent, and creating a squad that can stand the test of time.

Dortmund has a proud history of developing young talent. Think of players, like Pulisic, Sancho, and Bellingham who came through the ranks and made a name for. Your challenge is to continue this tradition to bring through at least one player from the academy to the first team each season.

Dortmund is all about youth and energy. We’re sticking to that ethos, no signing players over the age of 30. This is about building for the future and creating a team that can sustain success over the long term. This journey is about stepping out of the shadow about and creating a legacy of success. It’s about taking a club that has often been the bridesmaid in leading them to the altar.

It won’t be easy, but then again, the best things in life rarely are.

    Celta De Vigo

Next, we’re heading to Spain to the beautiful Balidos, the home of Celta De Vigo.

This is a club with a long history of Spanish football and a little in European football.

The goal is a long-term project to take Celta De Vigo to the top of Spanish and European football in five to six years. This is a long journey, but one filled with potential and excitement.

Once again, this isn’t a fantasy. It’s a challenge we’re not looking for billionaire takeovers or instant fixes. This is about building a team, nurturing talent, and creating a squad that can stand the test of time.

Celta De Vigo isn’t a club with a massive budget, so every signing counts. Your challenge is to scout for hidden gems to find players who can add value to the team without breaking the bank. That means you need to distribute your FUT 24 Coins reasonably.

Celta De Vigo has a proud history of developing young talent. Your challenge is to continue this tradition to bring through at least one player from the academy to the first team each season.

A strong defense is the foundation of any successful team. Your challenge is to build a solid backline that can withstand the pressure from the top teams in the league.

This journey is about more than just winning. It’s about creating an identity for Celta De Vigo. Your challenge is to develop a style of play that is uniquely Celta, one that the fans can be proud of.

This journey is about the long haul. It’s about taking a club that has often been overlooked and leading them to the top. The journey continues. Let’s take Celta De Vigo to the top.

    Wrexham

Finally, we’re heading to Wales to the historic Racecourse Ground, the home of Wrexham AFC.

This is a club that has seen its fair share of ups and downs. But with new owners and actors, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, there’s a new sense of hope and excitement.

The goal: a Fairytale Journey from the lower leagues to the Premier League and ultimately to the Champions League. This is a daunting task, but one filled with potential for an incredible story.

This journey isn’t about quick fixes or easy routes. It’s about building a team that can rise through the ranks and compete with the best. It’s about creating a legacy of success for a club that has often been overlooked.

Wrexham AFC is under the steady ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney and they’re not selling. This is about building a team, nurturing talent, and creating a squad that can stand the test of time.

Wrexham AFC is in a club with a massive budget, so every signing counts. Your challenge is to scout for hidden gems to find players who can add value to the team without breaking the bank.

Your challenge is to navigate the tough battles for promotion in the lower leagues to secure a place in the Premier League and then to establish Wrexham as a stable club in the top flight.

Wrexham AFC is all about the love for football. Your challenge is to ensure that the way you manage the club aligns with this play attractive football, engage with the fans, and make sure that every game is a spectacle.

This journey is about the long haul. It’s about taking a club with a beautiful history that has often been overlooked and leading them to the top.

Is EA FC 24 Better Than FIFA 23? - Hands-On Gameplay Preview

After getting hands-on with EA FC 24 at the launch event in Amsterdam last week, the new game has everything that made FIFA 23 a success whilst new features and updates both on and off the pitch offer a new appeal that’s been missing for years.

Losing the FIFA name was always going to be a tough obstacle for EA Sports to overcome. But if the current state of EA FC 24 is anything to go by, the future is bright for the new football game franchise.

Despite the new name, football fans all have their reasons to be pessimistic about EA FC 24, especially when you consider the last few FIFA titles released by EA Sports. The game lacked substantial changes year on year, albeit with a few fancy presentation features added on top. So, with EA having the ability to almost start the franchise from scratch, expectations are sky high.

Will the first installment of the EA Sports FC era be the same game with a new name? Or, is this really the start of something new, something to get fans excited and let loose from the shackles after an underwhelming few years?

Every year, EA gets fans excited in the builder to a FIFA release with a bunch of trailers and deep dives. Though apart from FIFA 23, which saw the introduction of accelerate that really gave the game a new feel, each game felt a bit flat gameplay wise with each title almost feeling quite similar to the previous one.

But in the alpha version of EA FC 24, I played during EA’s official reveal event in Amsterdam. The gameplay did feel different. And, personally, it felt more reflective of a real game of football. The gameplay itself felt quite slow in comparison to FIFA 23, although the caveat to this is that this is me comparing EFC 24 to the current set of Ultimate Team, where most players you face possess a pace rating of over 90.

What impressed me the most about EA FC 24 is the new HyperMotion V technology. For the first time, EA has used new technology, using volumetric data for more than 180 professional men’s and women’s football matches to influence players’ movements in the game.

HyperMotion V technology has helped introduce a bunch of new features into the games, such as Precision Passing, Effort Dribble Touch and what I felt was the big biggest change responsive shooting. All the new additions were noticeable in the gameplay and all played a big part in the improved feel. But the increased responsiveness when I aimed for goal was the pick of the bunch.

My players would now shoot when I wanted them to shoot. And with HyperMotion V, a whole new variety of shooting techniques were on show.

AcceleRATE 2.0 saw four new running styles introduced on top of Lengthy, Controlled and Explosive whilst AI Mimic allows AI to replicate how players move in EA FC 24 to give players realistic run styles.

The prime example in which I noticed HyperMotion V in full effect was with EA FC 24 cover star Erling Haaland Manchester City, with one of just four teams available for us to use. And Haaland feels extremely overpowered. It almost feels as if the new features introduced have been made with Haaland in mind. The Striker was quicker, stronger, and more deadly in front of golden anyone else.

By the way, if you want more excellent players to join your team, or you want to improve your players faster, then you must prepare enough FC 24 Coins in advance.

EA has received a bit of flack over the last few years regarding gameplay. But what they did get right was the presentation and cut scene animations and that remains in FC 24.

We use the Champions League mode to play the new game. And the new cut scenes in the in-game menus from the pitch side to the tunnel really added a new level of authenticity to the game.

Another factor I loved was the animation that played out after a foul was made. If a free kick was won in a dangerous position, you would see the game from the referee’s perspective, with players crowding the official with appeals as he sprays the markings on the floor.

A feature that received a well a mixed reception was new on-screen graphics that popped onto the screen when the ball went out of play. Possession graphics covered the pitch whilst the throne was being taken or 3D shot graphics would appear before a gold kick. I personally liked it, but many others didn’t.

One new factor which I felt was pretty anonymous in the game, however, was Play Styles. Replacing the Trait System from FIFA 23, Play Styles are supposedly meant to hand players certain advantages over others, though I never noticed any of these Play Styles making much to a difference in game.

Ultimate Team is always the same for EA. With the introduction of women’s players, Ultimate Team Evolutions, and a host of other new features, Ultimate Team will be the biggest game mode once again. It’s the gameplay that’s often let down EA in the past, which in my opinion should be the number one priority for the game.

But if this early version of EA FC 24 is close to the final game, that’s released, EA has got the fundamental spot on. And I’m excited to see what the future holds for EA FC 24.

Everything You Need To Know About EA Sports FC 24 - Questions Answered

EA Sports FC 24 is an entirely new series. When you heard the news of the game’s upcoming release, you must have a lot of questions. What modes and players are returning? How does it feel when you step out onto the pitch? Here, I will reveal the questions that you may be curious about one by one.

    Is It Still FIFA?

While the name might have changed, don’t go running to the Turnstiles just yet.

This is still very much the series you know and love. It has the same team at EA Vancouver beavering away on it, the same exquisitely detailed players running around on the virtual pitch, and all the modes you’d expect. Ultimate Team returns, as does Player and Manager Career mode along with clubs and Volta.

More importantly, there’s an onion bag full of official licenses with returning leagues, including the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and the UEFA for Men’s and Women’s Champions League.

Plus, new additions in the form of two new women’s leagues in the German Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga and Spanish Liga F.

    How Is The Tech Changing?

While the core structure of EA Sports FC remains familiar, the tech is taking strides. The size of which would rival those of cover star Erling Haaland.

The biggest step forward is HyperMotion V the animation system that has underpinned the series efforts on PS5 so far. While high promotion used to harvest data from players wearing Mocap tech, HyperMotion V captures animation data from matches without players having to wear a Mocap suit.

Simply put, this means that HyperMotion is now capturing the world’s best players while they’re playing in real life. This year, over 180 matches were used to help bring even more animations into the game to make the action as authentic and varied as possible with various grounds around the world set up with 4K cameras, capturing at 120 frames per second to help bring in animations that feel incredibly lifelike.

Alongside, HyperMotion V, there’s also EA Sports Sapien Technology that brings player models and animations closer to real life.

In FIFA 23, Traore lacked that muscular heft, whereas in FC 24 his bodybuilding physique was accurately mirrored. These animations and graphical improvements are augmented on the pitch by new Play Styles. These are essentially key traits that the best players have with data provided by sports stat body Opta to match the right play styles to players.

Take Haaland, for example. A player without the Power Header play style would get less speed on the ball when heading it towards the goal, making it more likely for the keeper to get a hand on it. Whereas Haaland with the Power Header play style will hammer it off his bunts, making it more likely to thunder into the back of the net.

There’s also a range of smaller tweaks, including more Sprint types alongside AI True Flight ball physics that aim to more closely mirror how a ball moves in real life.

On the pitch, you’ll recognize this as an EA football game. But there are plenty of subtle improvements off the pitch. However, the changes are even more noticeable.

    What’s New In Ultimate Team?

First up is Ultimate Team, which benefits from two major overhauls.

Firstly, women’s players are making their long overdue entrance to the mode and you’ll be able to create teams with both male and female players playing together.

So, whether you’ve been dreaming about creating an all-conquering pair of Harry Kane and Sam Kerr or just want to reunite siblings Rhys and Lauren James in your virtual squad, FC 24 is opening up a new league of possibilities. But you should also know that no matter what player you choose to join your team, you will have to spend a certain amount of FC 24 Coins.

It’s a huge step forward for the series, which has traditionally kept men’s and women’s teams separate. And this move should hopefully increase the awareness of the game’s greatest players regardless of their gender.

There’s also the introduction of Evolutions. These are cards you can evolve over the course of FC 24’s lifespan by completing certain objectives.

An example we’re shown is of Dortmund Striker Moukoko, whose silver card is upgraded with several major alterations, taking it from a mid-range card you’d usually forget about to one that you’ll build your entire team around. These represent the biggest shake-up to Ultimate Team in years, offering a new way of putting a squad together and going on a journey with your players rather than swapping them in and out throughout the year.

What’s Changing In The Other Modes?

Of course, there’s more than just the Ultimate Team to EA Sports FC. Two modes also getting tweaks are Player and Manager Career.

In Manager Career, the total management system lets you provide a tactical vision for your team, choosing whether you want them to play the fast passing Tiki-Taka style or go full on Spoilsport and park the bus as well as hiring backroom staff members to help with your coaching.

Meanwhile, in Player Career, this season’s game puts more of a focus on working with an agent to guide your footballing journey. You’ll let your agent know what your hopes, dreams, and ideal club to play for are. Then, they’ll set objectives on how to achieve them. And if you become the world beta, we know you can be, you’ll also be able to win the Ballon d’Or.

On the multiplayer side of things, Pro Clubs where you create and play in a virtual squad with friends are now just clubs. Along with the snappy name change, the mode gets cross-play. So, friends on different consoles can join your club and cause havoc on the virtual Turf.

Alongside this much requested Community Edition, there are now league seasons for clubs where you’ll fight for promotion and have opportunities to unlock content for your team throughout the season.

    Does The Game Look Different?

One of the more noticeable changes is the visual refresh when it comes to the main venues both in and out of the game. There’s been a big design overhaul with the tiles that had been standard across the series for the past few years replaced with a sleek vertical menu that is designed to get you into games faster.

Okay, hardly the most exciting update you’ll ever hear. But hey, you’ll notice it when you’re not constantly flicking through those tiles.

Plus, the in-match experience is now visually more exciting. The in-game menu plays key moments from the on-field action and contextual matched Eclipse, like a man of the match being interviewed pitch size or commentators milling about on a Gantry. That’s right. Derek Rae fans, he’s in the game.!

This visual refresh also extends to the way stats are presented, with several new key bits of info displayed in real time. In quite a Sci-Fi touch, one shows info on who your most fatigued players are, letting you know who to potentially sub off. It’s both handy and feels like we’re watching football from 10 years in the future.

How Does It Feel To Play?

Where FC 24 is most likely to remind you of its roots is on the pitch itself.

We got substantial hands on time with a pre-beta build. And so far games have a familiar flow and feel with pacia players, feeling electric and certain tactics, like rushing to the byline and cutting back to a lingering Striker still paying dividends.

In terms of additions, a new Precision through ball system lets you visualize where you’ll play a pass by holding R1 and triangle, letting you line up a defense splitting ball perfectly.

Likewise, a new controlled Sprint feature that comes from holding down R1 lets your player run at pace while keeping closer control of the ball. The difference is keenly felt if you managed to get behind a back line where you’ll be closer to the ball to take a shot and less likely to accidentally knock the ball into the keeper.

When it comes to HyperMotion V, there are several moments where we can see new animations with a player, like Haaland stretching his imposing frame towards the bull more realistically in 50-50s. This feels more like something you’ll appreciate over the course of the game’s life cycle when you get a better sense of the depth of these animations.

Things You Might Have Overlooked In The EA FC 24 Gameplay Deep Dive

Here are some things you might have missed regarding FC 24’s gameplay, especially if you didn’t read the Deep Dive article.

    Penalties

Penalties look like they could be harder to save.

Previously, you had the choice of left, right, or center. But now, you’re going to have to decide between staying down the middle or going top left, bottom left, top right, or bottom right.

So, maybe we’ll see more penalties converted in the upcoming game.

It’s also worth noting there have been some new penalty kick animations added, too.

    Advanced Shot Cancels

Now, you may have noticed some new skill moves in the trailers.

But in the Deep Dive article, something else stood out to us and that is the new Advanced Shot Cancels, in particular the Shot To skill move, which looks like it will be incredibly effective in 1v1 situations.

    AcceleRATE 2.0

AcceleRATE 2.0 is here and could we just see the return of the lengthy meta? There are four new AcceleRATE types:

    • Controlled Explosive - 50% Explosive, 50% Controlled.
    • Mostly Explosive - 70% Explosive, 30% Controlled.
    • Controlled Lengthy - 50% Lengthy, 50% Controlled.
    • Mostly Lengthy - 70% Lengthy, 30% Controlled.

Explosive Run Types will have the lead early on. Later on, Lengthy Run Types will catch up the Explosive Types.

    Kinetic Physical Play

    Kinetic Physical Play looks interesting.

There are plenty of new shielding animations and there’s also a feature called Pushback Shield, which allows us to create space by pushing the opponent away from the ball.

Do you ever cross the ball into the box, hoping for a diving header and the attacker does or something else? With headers on demand, that should no longer be an issue.

Also Read: EA FC 24 Playstyles Explained - Shooting Themed, Passing Themed, Defensive Themed, Ball Control Themed, Physical Themed & Goalkeeper Themed Playstyles

    True Fight AI

Artificial Intelligence powers AI True Fight ball physics, according to the article. So, we should see a lot more ball movement when either passing or shooting in FC 24.

    Shooting Improvements

How about this? Have you ever been annoyed by how slow your player is taking to produce a shot?

Well, there’s been some shooting improvements. And if you’re near the goal within 18 yards, you can tap the shoot button to produce a quick release shot.

Speaking of shooting by using different combinations, you can now go from the Power Shot animation into a chip or a finesse shot.

    Skill Moves

There are some new skill moves for FC 24 and we begin with the Ball Roll Drag. The drag back 10 is up next and then we have Flair Nutmegs, which looks really cool. All of these are four-star skill moves and then we’ve also got the Flair Rainbow, which is, of course, a five-star skill move.

The attacking positioning up there should see players move more actively to find space and the Diagonal Runs sound great. There is also a section on a dynamic defensive line. This Means players will adjust their positioning to accommodate Wing Backs, making attacking runs. They will shift or drop to cover their space while the Wing Back is out of position.

Goalkeepers will now attempt to push shots into safer areas or out of player when they cannot catch the ball. And a bunch of new animations have been added for Goalkeeper shot stops.

EA FC 24 is now confirmed to be officially released on September 29th. There is still some time until the official release, and you can use this time to stock up on FC 24 Coins. In this way, you can buy more excellent players to join your team.
