Single-player story mode

This year's Face of the Franchise: United We Rise will bring the game into a whole new era through a series of new features and changes compared with previous games. EA also released Gridiron Notes on the Face of the Franchise.

Road of the Draft

The story will begin the Road to the Draft, and open part of the Face of the Franchise, you will pass a series of scenes and challenges on your 2021 NFL Draft road.

These include participating in the College Football Playoff, NFL teams interviews, and private workouts with specific teams. These potential choices are closely linked to this year's new Season Engine, which is also the Franchise Mode in Madden 22.

Class Progression & The Yard

Madden 22 introduced a career development system, allowing players to choose from a variety of careers. These options are related to the position, and what you can choose depends on whether you make your player a QB, WR, RB, or LB.

Being able to serve as a linebacker in Madden 22 marks the first time a defensive position can be selected in Face of the Franchise. Although there may be some other positions that have not yet been announced, the following is what we currently know:
