If you’re struggling with your attack in EA FC 24, then this guide is for you.

I’m going to give you three straightforward and easy to implement tips that will elevate your attacking game to a much higher level very quickly. All these tips build up on one another.

And if you have enough FC 24 Coins, it is also very important to improve your players. In this way, combined with these skills, you will become more powerful.

How To Improve Your Attack In EA FC 24? - 3 Effective Tips

1. Creating Movement

Tip number one is probably the most important one. Creating movement is everything in FC 24.

If your attack is stale and you’re lacking pressure on the backline by creating runs, then the new zonal defense pressure is going to get to you and you will have a very hard time getting forward. So, start creating movement with the first pass of your attack already, using your fullbacks

In my opinion, FC 24 is a lot like modern real football here. You need active fullbacks that support you in your attack in order to create man advantage situations.

You can see an example here. I’m in the 4-3-2-1 formation and pass the ball to my fullback. This is a spot where you can start to get pressured quickly. So, I pass the ball forward and make sure to initiate a One Two Pass with it by holding L1/LB while passing.

Now, I’ve essentially created a three versus one against the opponent’s fullback and there is no way he can soak up all that pressure.

I play another one two and by that time my fullback has completed the overlap and I can feed him the through ball.

Playing one twos or initiating runs manually by pointing the left stick towards a player and pressing L1/LB is important in all areas of the pitch, but I find that especially using your fullbacks is the game changer. It gives you that extra attacking player that the opponent often can’t account for.

And in this example here, the run coming from all the way back in my own half is the key that allows me to score the deciding goal last minute.

2. Attack The Space

Now that we have step one completed, we can move on to tip number two, attacking the space.

See the runs you create with your attacking players. Put pressure on the backline.

However, you’re not always going to be able to play the easy through passes. Because good players will, of course, try to defend them. This is not a problem though because if they are occupied selecting their backline Defender and tracking our runs, then that gives us the opportunity to push the ball forward and get closer to their goal for free without them being able to pressure us.

The new feature Controlled Sprint is an excellent tool for this because this fast dribbling that you can do by simply holding R1/RB allows you to attack the space and get forward quickly while still keeping good ball control.

Back to our attacking strategy. You are putting pressure on the opponent’s defense in two ways now.

You have the threat of playing a through ball to one of your players that’s making a run and you have the pressure from getting closer to their goal, which they need to stop at some point.

This forces the Defender to make a decision at some point. And your job is to recognize that decision and play around it. If they stop tracking the run and they commit to stopping you, then play the through ball.

3. Be Versatile

If they keep tracking the run, then push forward and try to find the right option to finish your attack, which brings us to tip number three.

In FC 24, you have a lot of options once you reach the final third. Going towards the by line and looking for cutbacks is good. Cutting inside early and finding passing combinations is good. Trailas from a distance are good. Skims are good. The list doesn’t end there.

The point is, you need to be versatile. Don’t always do the same thing. You have the pressure on the opponent. You have him in a spot where he needs to anticipate and make a decision.

Don’t make that decision easy for him. Leave him in the unclear on what you’re trying to do.

First, run all the way through to the by line and then next time play the pass towards the inside as early as possible. Not every attack is going to work out. Nobody makes the right decision all the time, and that’s fine.

As long as you play decisively, you are going to score at some point. If you still find yourself struggling though, then it might be the right time to have someone else look at your gameplay and analyze why you’re not able to push through.
