Do you know the real meta on FIFA 23 right now? If the answer to that question is no, then this article is for you.

The Meta

The meta isn't what you think previously. In the previous meta, we had Trivela Shots, we had over the top three passes and we had so many ways of scoring the goals. But now FIFA 23 has changed drastically after all the recent patches.

None of that is as consistent. What is consistent? That is Wing play. Why?

• Number one: Wing play is very consistent.
  

• Number two: Being a fundamentalist. What fundamentals are we talking about? We are talking about taking a touch towards the space. Wherever you have the space you will take the first touch with the left stick in towards that space.
  

Passing

Passing the ball in the direction you are facing this is very important always pass the ball in the direction you are facing. 

If your player is facing straight, try to pass the ball straight. What will happen? This will increase your passing tempo. You will have less errors in passing right and it will be easier for you to get the ball from midfield into attack. 

Once the ball is in your Midfielder's feet, the goal is to get the ball from his feet towards your finger because Wing play is very overpower. Wing play is the most effective way of scoring goals on FIFA 23 right now. But that is not all.

I will give you a secret tip. So, hang on! We will do a first time ball roll in towards Ribery. The goal is to always get the ball from the wing in towards your Strikers in the middle of the pitch.

Driven Shot

And try to go for the extra pass or the Driven Shot. How do you perform the Driven Shot? Driven Shot is the most effective way of scoring goals inside the Box. All you have to do is tap the shooting button. One bar of power that is enough. And your player will perform a Driven Shot. 

So, guys Driven shots are meta. Please use them and abuse them right inside the box. Goalkeepers struggle to save these shots even you will be able to Nutmeg Goalkeepers with these shots.

Next up, guys, we have fundamentals in combination with steppers. You always want to get 50, 50 with the Defender and go for the step over. But I am not going to talk about step overs today because there are tons of videos talking about step over. 

However, you need to pay close attention how we are able to unlock the defense of this opponent. All you have to do is go for the little touches left stick dribbling towards the space. 

Threaded Through Pass

Go for the short through passes. Short through passes in the final third of the pitch are very overpowered in FIFA 23 especially to your Midfielders when they make a runs. If you use my tactics, this will be very effective for you. 

Now, what is the secret tip? It is a tip that are not using by many people. This is the fully powered Threaded Through Pass R1. Triangle Threaded Through Pass if you use this or if you go from your Midfielders in towards your Winger with the fully powered Threaded Through Pass. Even if the opponent is marking the player like he is with your Hernandez (that you can get by using FUT 23 Coins), he will not be able to catch it.

All you have to do is make sure your player is on the last man. Once he's on the last man, you will go with the fully powered R1 plus triangle. This pass is absolutely broken. There is no way to stop it if done. Green Time Finish is very important. Do not forget it. 

Ding Pass

But we still have one more thing to go lobbed through passes. They are still very effective not the L1 R1 triangle, but the L1 triangle.

Once your player is on the last man like you can see in this example. With Pele you have to go for the Ding passes if there is no other option. 

The Ding Pass is still very good and still very effective in FIFA 23 Wing play in combination with Step Overs, Threaded Through Passes and Driven Shots. These are the most effective ways of scoring goals and you have to master them.
