Eric Berry

First, Eric Berry is considered one of the best captains by many players in MUT 24 community. Because he has some great stats, he’s a very useful early game card.

His fully upgraded 85 Overall has 83 speed and balanced coverage and run-stopping stats. He’s definitely worth your first upgrade.

Kevin Mawae

Kevin Mawae has had a storied career and is consistently considered one of the best centers in NFL history.

He has some great attributes as the current head coach of Lipscomb Academy. The center position is always an important position in Madden. Especially early in the game, it’s very difficult to build a good offensive line. Therefore, it is also very necessary to upgrade him first.

Frank Gore

Similar to Kevin Mawae, Frank Gore has had a prestigious career. San Francisco 49ers legend is a solid choice for the starting HB spot. However, you still have a lot of great HB options in the game. Because of this, Frank Gore Captain card is often overlooked by MUT community.

However, that doesn’t mean he has a bad hand, anyway. Frank Gore has some great attributes, and depending on your style of play, he could be the perfect captain for you. But his low speed is a problem.

Ronde Barber

In the end, few MUT 24 players chose Ronde Barber as captain. One of the main reasons is that Madden usually offers premium CB cards in free promotions throughout the year. So, spending time and MUT 24 Coins to unlock him and upgrade him to 85 Overall doesn’t seem worth it.

How To Unlock And Level Up All Captains?

In Madden 24, unlocking your captain is actually quite easy. There are four captains in total. And this year’s Team Captains Field Pass allows you to get four captains.

They all have nice properties. Since all captains start with an overall rating of 80, you can look at each card’s stats and decide which captain to build your team around.

At Team Captains Field Pass Level 2, you’ll earn Frank Gore. At level 4, you get Jets center Kevin Mawae. You get Ronde Barber’s base item at level 6. Then at level 8, you’ll get Eric Berry’s base 80 Overall items.

You can move these cards to 85 Overall. Field Pass has 16 levels, and each item requires 5 Tokens to reach 85 Overall and unlock Team Chemistry for all 32 NFL Franchises.
