Recommended Players
80 OVR Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford is considered the default option for this evolution, but he also has two SBCs, one of which grants him Finesse Shot playstyle. Therefore, while Marcus Rashford is a good choice, he's not top-tier, and he can serve as a temporary Meta alternative.
80 OVR Jérémy Doku
Jérémy Doku is a very fast winger, possessing Quick Step and Rapid+ playstyles, allowing him to run faster. He already has good dribbling skills, and after evolution, his shooting ability receives a significant boost, making him a potential top-tier winger, even as a starter.
His weaknesses lie in his 4-star Weak Foot and 3-star skills, his left-wing position, and the lack of Finesse Shot playstyle, which can be a weakness in some tactics. However, overall, his evolved card is significantly better.
74 OVR Gabriel Silva
Gabriel Silva's base speed (96) is already very good, so you can confidently use Marksman chemistry to greatly enhance his dribbling and shooting without needing to use Hunter to compensate for speed.
Gabriel Silva gains Winger+ and Inside Forward++ player roles after evolution. The only drawback is the lack of Finesse Shot; you'll need to add it if you want to make him even more effective.
Finally, he's very rare as a Santa Clara club player, and these types of players are usually not available as promotional cards; evolution is the primary way to improve them.
80 OVR Pedro Lomba Neto
After evolving, Pedro Lomba Neto gains Winger+ and Inside Forward++ roles. As a left-footed player primarily operating on the left wing, this is a significant upgrade, but he lacks any meta-level shooting playstyles like Finesse Shot or Chip Shot. He's a good choice if you don't rely on cutting inside and chipping shots.
78 OVR Jamie Gittens
78 OVR Jamie Gittens has good base speed (92) and already possesses Rapid and Quick Step playstyles, making him more responsive. Using Marksman chemistry can elevate his dribbling to a very high level, making him a significant boost for Chelsea fans.
Other Good Choices
- 80 OVR Jack Grealish: After evolving, he becomes a very well-rounded winger with excellent dribbling and passing abilities.
- 80 OVR Jadon Sancho: Requires completing Iron Lungs evolution chain to reach this level. He works well with the Finisher chemistry after evolving.
- 80 OVR Lucas Paquetá: Lucas Paquetá is a left-footed player, and his weakness is his very slow speed. However, after evolution, paired with Hunter chemistry, he becomes usable in actual matches.
General Recommendations
The above are at least some recommended players. If you don't want to use these players, you can try to find players suitable for your team yourself.
You need to pay attention to player chemistry because the attributes of evolved players are fixed, but by combining different chemistry styles, you can greatly change their feel and effectiveness. In addition, the player's innate playstyles are very important. Players with key playstyles such as Finesse Shot, Quick Step, and Rapid are more valuable after evolution, while the lack of Finesse Shot will limit their potential.
You can choose players whose base pace is already high enough, prioritizing those whose base speed has reached or is close to the 88 cap. This way, you can use Marksman chemistry style to focus on improving dribbling and shooting, rather than using Hunter to compensate for speed. Gabriel Silva is a perfect example.
Finally, since Curse of the Left Evolution has no time limit, you can use evolutions on players with sentimental value, especially those less popular players who are almost impossible to obtain official promotional cards for. Popular players will almost always receive new cards and evolutions later.
These are the recommended cards for Curse of the Left Evolution. You can combine these suggestions with your team's needs to choose which players to evolve.
