Currently, NBA 2K23 patch 5 is already available on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. It's getting ready for Season 5, which starts on Friday, February 24. This update mainly solves some problems that appeared in the game before, including the adjustment of the shooting model, so as to reduce times of missed high percentage shots and made low percentage shots.

The patch not only adjusts the shot model, but it also fixes some issues with the court floor, adds the Bill Russell "6" logo to the Cavaliers and Wizards courts, updates additional player likeness, and more. Below, you'll find some notes about this patch. 2K here refers to the older generation of game consoles and PC that will receive the patch on February 20.

General

• On Friday, February 24th at 8am PT or 4pm BST or 11am ET, preparations for NBA 2K23 Season 5 will be released.

• Fixed the issue: When you want to rotate existing players in the lineup, the hairstyles of those players who have been rotated are outdated.

• Portland Trail Blazers players wear new straps in honor of announcer Bill Schonely.

• A "6" has been added to the city court floor for Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards in honor of the deceased Lord of the Rings Bill Russell.

• Some visual issues with Detroit Pistons, Utah Jazz, and Golden State Warriors' classic court floors, and Toronto Raptors and Houston Rockets' city court floors have been fixed.

• When you notice that the ball is out of bounds, you can call a timeout.

• In order to improve your overall experience in City, the game is constantly improving stability and performance.

• Fixed an issue that could cause incorrect VC amounts to be awarded in Pro-Am and Rec games.

• On Got Next spots, you can access 2KTV menus and the phone.

• Fixed a rare issue that could prevent playoffs from starting due to event quest requirements.

• Incoming invites don't block squads when you want to ride an elevator at Event Center.

MyTEAM

• Preparations are underway for the $250,000 MyTEAM Unlimited Tournament Knockouts on March 4th and 5th and Finals on March 18th.

• In order to visually distinguish them from the Galaxy Opal cards, the game has updated the colors of the assets and Diamond cards.

• A small update has also been made to modes and menus throughout MyTEAM.

The W Or MyNBA

• Continuous stability fixes and improvements to The W, MyNBA and MyNBA Online.

• Fixed an issue that could randomize some of your attributes in downloaded draft classes

• For color options and team logos for tattoos in The W, you can use them correctly later.
