Fortunately, the top players in this position are undisputed. Patrick Mahomes returns to 99 Club after leading Kansas City to another championship. He has rediscovered his status as the best quarterback in Madden 24. 

But the quarterback after Patrick Mahomes has been controversial. Because there are some notable additions and exceptions to the top 10 list.

A year ago, now-retired quarterback Tom Brady started the season with the highest grades. With the greatest player of all time retiring, the league is trying to turn to young stars to fill the void left by Tom Brady. 1. Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes started last season with 95 OVR. A year ago, he was a Madden series cover athlete and made his first appearance in 99 Club. Many thought last year’s ratings were too low, and it turns out they were right. Chiefs QB is back in his place now. It should put Kansas City in contention for another Super Bowl.

2. Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow jumped from 90 OVR in the original Madden 23 to 95 OVR in Madden 24. Although his Bengals this year did not have as good a team performance as the 2021-2022 season, he also had a decent stat last season.

And he had more touchdowns, with similar passing yards, completion percentage and quarterback rating. So there’s no reason to think Joe Burrow won’t put up the same or better numbers in 2023-2024.

Now Baltimore Ravens is locked in as Raven’s quarterback of the future. Because Lamar Jackson’s talent is undeniable, both as a passer and as a runner. But he hasn’t had an injury-free season in a long time.

5. Jalen Hurts

One of the best players from last season was Jalen Hurts. Eagles became the top offense throughout Madden NFL 24. Jalen Hurts showed his abilities in multiple ways last season, challenging receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. He also perfected the art of quarterback stealth.

However, Jalen Hurts didn’t cash in on Super Bowl. He needs another MVP-type year to prove he’s in OVR 90 class as a QB.

6. Justin Herbert

Although some media called Justin Herbert a “social media quarterback”. But there’s no denying Justin Herbert’s talent as a quarterback. Few are better at putting the ball deep with precision and precision than Justin Herbert. Still, Justin Herbert and Chargers haven’t been able to overcome the playoffs yet. 7. Dak Prescott

If New York Jets have any hope in the 2023-2024 season, Aaron Rodgers must prove that he still has what it takes to lead the team to the playoffs. He has the surrounding ability to make everything work, but Aaron Rodgers really showed signs of fading last season.

9. Kirk Cousins

Many fans are calling for someone like Trevor Lawrence to replace Kirk Cousins in the top ten. While that could happen throughout the season, Kirk Cousins is still an above-average quarterback. As long as Kirk Cousins can keep turnovers to a minimum, he has the potential to remain in the top 10 at quarterbacks.

10. Tua Tagovailoa

Rounding out the list is Miami’s Tua Tagovailoa. Tua Tagovailoa has multiple injuries during the 2022-2023 season. While Tua Tagovailoa said he had thoughts of retiring, his desire to play football was too strong to overcome.

Tua Tagovailoa needs to stay on the floor this season, both for himself and for Dolphins’ offense. When he’s on the floor, the team’s offense is a well-oiled machine. Time will tell if Tua Tagovailoa can play a full season.
