As we all know, one of the main features of the NBA 2K21 series is that all card statistics are correlated with actual player performance, so as to provide players with a more immersive gaming experience. In a recent update, the developer 2K Sports introduced a new player rating.

If you carefully observe the data provided by the official website, you will find that many players' OVR has improved to a certain extent, mainly due to their real performance on the court. For example, Luka Dončić and Jrue Holiday both increased their ratings by 1 point, reaching 94 and 87 respectively. Bogdan Bogdanović, who is currently in a hot state, has improved by 3 points to 79 OVR. The much-watched NBA 2K21 cover star Zion Williamson also continued to maintain a good competitive state, after the update, his OVR improved a little to 90.

It is worth noting that some other players have dropped their ratings because of their poor form. For example, Jayson Tatum's OVR dropped from 90 to 89, while Evan Fournier dropped 2 points to 81.

This is just the latest update for NBA 2K21 this week, as a previous patch fixed bugs and updated a series of player likenesses. Additionally, a new mobile edition of NBA 2K is now available on Apple Arcade.
